During August 2016 I was privaledged to be part of a walking group that progressed the first 60 mile section of the Cape Wrath Trail, from Cape Wrath to Lochever. This series of images records some of the places visited and attempts to reflect the sentiment felt while photographing.
- Suileag Bothy
-
The pleasure of paths discovered,
A body in rhythm moving
Gives purpose and a direction continued.
- Loch Glendhu
- Ardvreck Castle, Loch Assynt
- Ardvreck Castle, Loch Assynt
- Ridge leading to Summit, Ben Stack
-
Struggling with the vigorous pace,
The body screams in pain
Behind, alone and emotionally adrift.
- Sandwood Bay, seaward
- Sandwood Bay
-
The actuality overcame what was feared,
Confidence experienced and increased
Now, new perspectives being dreamed.
-
Swollen rivers to be crossed,
Balance challenged througout
But always a way is exposed.
- Loch Inchard, midday
- Loch Inchard, early morning
- Road into Rhiconich
